The art teacher at Emma's school asked her to do a art project that only a handful of kids will get to do...It is for the whole county and the contest is called "My Saint Augustine". You are supposed to get an 18 x 24 canvas and draw, paint, or sketch what ever you want that makes you feel or think of Saint Augustine. Emma was super excited. She thought of the light house or the fort, but thought that too many people would do that, so she immediately thought of the First Presbyterian church that Henry Flagler had built in memory of his daughter who died, Jenny Louise. It is a beautiful building and very historical. I have attached a picture of the actual church as well. If she wins she will have her art displayed in an exibit here downtown and then it will be flown to Aviles, Spain where it will be on exibit for 4 months...Keep your fingers crossed for her..Either way, I am so very proud of her!!!!!!
