Ava's one year check up...

Ava had a great check up the other day. She weighs 20 pounds and is 29 and 3/4 long. The Dr. said that she thinks Ava will be built like Emma, and that she will be tall and skinny. She did once again, comment on her big head..haha!! And made a reference to Tony's head. We laughed!!! When we went over the words that Ava is saying, she said that Ava has the vocabulary of an 18 month old. We were very proud of that!!!She says a lot of stuff now and it is sooo cute. She also has started giving us kisses now. They are open mouthed and a little gross, but oh so sweet. She gives them to all of us all the time. She loves the show Yo-Gabba-Gabba right now. She and Tony like to watch it together and when it comes on, she says "Abba-Abba" and dances. She is standing up and taking steps all the time, but still refuses to walk..haha!!

Emma and Maya are great. Emma was named captain of her soccer team. She was really proud and honored and I think she deserved it. She also got into chorus and starts in a few weeks..One more thing, to add to my list of pick ups and drop offs..:) Maya is LOVING soccer. She can't wait til the next time she gets to play. I am so glad she found something to be passionate about as well. They both have games tomorrow so I will keep you informed on how they do.

These are some pics of Ava at the Dr. Office the other day..Enjoy..:)

Fall soccer kick off....2009.

Today was the first game of the season, and I must say I AM SO PROUD OF MY GIRLS!!! They both played AMAZING!!!! First, we had Emma's game at 9:00. She is on the Strikers..and all girl team, and they played the a coed team today. Emma played half the game in her regular position which is center forward, and half the game as goalie. Noone on the team really wants to be goalie so she will be playing it some for this year. Her team won 5-0, Emma had two goals, and played goalie really well..as the other team never scored. She also had an assist on one of the other goals as well!!!! Maya's game was at 12:00 and this was her very first game ever. I msu admit, I was worried. She tends to be on the shy side, and I thought she would freeze up. But, she was one majorly aggressive child on that field. She fought for every ball, ran all over that field, and scored 2 goals, and also had an assist on goal....So they played the same pretty much...All in all, it was a super fun day..I am glad to be asst. coaching Emma's team, adn loving being Team Mom for both of their teams..Yes, it adds to my busy schedule already, but I LIVE FOR THIS!!!!

Hope all of you are having a great weekend as well!!!!

Ava's first birthday celebrations...:) 9-2009.

Ava's first birthday was amazing...She as well as us, had a blast...She looked so beautiful in her little outfit. She loved the cake, and loved all her gifts..It was great to be surrounded by family and friends, and we missed the ones who live far away (but you were there with us in our hearts). Thank you everyone for the presents, cards, phone calls, and coming. Everything meant a lot to us, and this was such a special day for our whole family. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
